Welcome to Slope, an inviting cafe nestled in the heart of Suginami City, Tokyo. This charming spot is the perfect escape for coffee enthusiasts and those looking to indulge in a delightful selection of pastries.

As you step inside, the rustic decor immediately envelops you in warmth, featuring inviting wooden furnishings that beckon you to take a seat and unwind. With only five tables, each seating two, the atmosphere is intimate and perfect for a quiet break away from the bustling city. While the lack of Wi-Fi might encourage you to disconnect, it's the perfect excuse to immerse yourself in conversation or to simply savor the moment.

The menu, though not specified, showcases a tantalizing array of scones that have captured the hearts of many customers. Esther Grases raves about the plain scone paired with anko (sweet red bean paste) and a hojicha latte, highlighting just how delicious these treats are. Whether you're indulging in a scone or choosing one of the expertly brewed coffees—impressive for a city where espresso machines can be scarce—you're in for an exquisite experience.

And speaking of coffee, customer Manuel Castro comments on the smooth balance of flavors in their brews, underscoring Slope's commitment to quality. Add in a touch of sincerity from the friendly staff, and you have all the ingredients for a deeply satisfying caffeine break.

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, don’t skip the hot chocolate; it’s received high praise for its rich taste, and attentive service ensures that any slight mishaps in delivery are quickly rectified, as shared by Hannah Russell.

What makes Slope truly stand out is the genuine ambiance. It is a haven for those seeking a cozy corner to relax and enjoy moments culinary bliss, whether alone or in good company. With lovely staff eager to make your visit memorable, you’ll find that footfalls within this quaint cafe become a delightful routine.

So, if you find yourself wandering through Suginami City, take a moment to stop by Slope. With each sip and nibble, you’ll soon understand why this hidden gem has won the hearts of Tokyo's cafe lovers.

The coffee shop provides "coffee", not filtered or so. The staff is lovely and kind. Not only coffee, the food and cake are good as well.

There's five tables with two seats each, but no Wi-Fi or charging. Music source identified as Beck, but I don't recognize the genre. Gentle listening? Decor is rustic, featuring lots of wood. Tables are okay, but the chairs look like they have seen better days, perhaps in a school. Rest is quite plain and relaxing. A bit hard to spot, especially as approached by the Google Maps directions. Interesting selection of books, some of which seemed to be for sale. I noticed a couple of Tanikawa translations of peanuts. American coffee was kind of mild, but that's the label a la fan. Calling at a flat 4 stars. A bit tempted to lower it to a low four stars at the end. It's okay to call it to my attention that they're full and could use the seat, but I prefer they just say it rather than put it in writing. Or if it happens often they should even have notices that I could have read in advance. But I'll let the rating stand on the grounds of 変な外人。 But come to think of it, since all the tables had only one person, maybe a friendlier place would try to seat single patrons to share tables.

Really nice coffee shop, it was so good to find a cafe that has an espresso machine, as is not too common in Tokyo, coffee was nice, we'll balanced and smooth. Scones are delicious, the staff is super nice and friendly. Love this place.
